ISO affects the two components by changing the quality of the image. One picture is well exposed to the lighting while the other picture is over-exposed. Photographing indoors was different because the lighting is not similar from the light outside. The exposure settings changed by the sensitivity of the sensor on the camera.

Aperture affects the depth of field because the background changes and becomes blurred with different aperture settings. The smaller the aperture, the more blurred the background is. The bigger the aperture, the clearer the background gets.

Rule of 3rds & Other Composition Rules

IMG_6357

This photo uses the Rule of Thirds because the subject intersects with the right horizontal and vertical lines.

IMG_6236.JPG

This picture follows the rule of thirds because the person aligns with the left side of the frame with the vertical line.

IMG_8020

This picture goes with the rule of thirds because the light bulb aligns with the right side of the frame.

Screen Shot 2018-08-27 at 9.19.17 AM

This photo follows †he rule of thirds because the flower intersects with the right intersecting points.

The Rule of Thirds is a frame divided into thirds horizontally and vertically. The lines and where they intersect are points of interest, align your subjects to these spots. Using the Rule of Thirds will almost always result in a good composition. In closer shots, align the eyes to the top line to get good composition.

What makes a photo “good”?

situgunung-flipped-1600

This photograph was taken by Global Landscapes. It represents a man going fishing and throwing his net. In the background, it can be seen that he is in a forest with a river going through the middle. The trees go beyond the fisherman’s height, which makes him look small compared to everything surrounding him. The river looks calm and still, which makes it a beautiful scenery. The trees are a vivid green, and the river is a dark color because of the reflection of the tall trees.
